Lucky the Leprechaun makes a visit to Room 22!
St. Patrick's day was such an exciting day for room 22! Lucky the Leprechaun, who often makes a visit to Alimacani, made a stop by our classroom. He turned over chairs, threw our leprechaun books everywhere, wrote us a note, left us some treats and he even left glitter in the toliet! Leprechauns are so very tricky!

Zoo Field Trip
We had such an incredible Field Trip to the Jacksonville Zoo! The kids enjoyed seeing all of the interesting animals and getting up close and personal with them in the Educational Center. We learned new things about the animals and even got to pet them! A special thank you to all of our amazing chaperones that joined us- our field trip was such a success because of you all!
A St. Patrick's Day Visit
A classroom Grandparent came in to teach the class about Ireland and share some Irish songs with us. The class really enjoyed asking him questions and learning these new songs.

If you give a kid a Pancake, they're going to want some syrup to go with it...
All week, the kids have been enjoying Laura Numeroff's funny books such as If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, If you Give a Moose a Muffin, and If you Give a Pig a Party. The kids even made up their own "If... Then..." silly story just like Laura Numeroff! What amazing Authors we have!
Laura Numeroff uses the strategy of a circle story, which is a story that ends how it begins. In the story, If you Give a Pig a Pancake, the pig wants a pancake at both the beginning and the end of the book. The kids really enjoyed reading her books this week and we celebrated by having a Pancake Party just like the pig in her story! Check out some of her other funny books at the Library!

All About Guam
The class enjoyed a special visit from one of our classroom families. We learned all about Guam, looked at their photographs, and asked questions about their heritage and culture. A big thanks to this family for coming in to share with us!
